Vail Part 1

Cade and I spent Christmas in Vail, skiing. Sounds fabulous right? Not so much.

“Eddy? Romey? Cade? Marie? Do you all have everything?” Audrey asked as she jumped into the passenger side of the car. My mum was taking a dance teacher certification quiz to make sure she was still suited to teach. You have to take one every five years. So Eddy and I were going to join Cade and her mum for their Christmas adventures in Wisconsin but Cade’s dad (Léon), Audrey and Marie were going to Vail and they thought it would be so much fun! for us to join them. Well that planned backfired. Now I love Cade and her dad and Audrey are pretty cool but now there’s Marie and that just makes everything so much more complicated.

The beginning of the trip was great, Léon, Audrey, and Marie took the train to London and we all flew out from there. Léon got us first class tickets and there was fresh snow in Vail. And then, everything started to go wrong.

We arrived in Vail and it was sprinkling snow. Léon had arranged a car to come and get us at the aeroport, but an hour later the car was no where to be found.

“Léon, where is the car? It was supposed to be here forever ago.” Audrey said.

“It’s coming, don’t worry.”

Cade (oh yeah! Cade is here now, we met her at the aeroport) rolled her eyes and pulled out a bottle of sparkling water. And then…. A limousine pulled up. No. Joke. A limousine. Everyone just starred.

“A limousine? Papa you do realize that we are trekking along ice ridden roads for like two hours, right?” Cade questioned.

“Well yes but wouldn’t be more fun to arrive in style?” Léon stated.

“Oh yes because all that matters is that we arrive in style. It’s not important that we arrive in one piece or something. That would be crazy.” Cade glanced over at me and I shot her back a look that said “he’s crazy bit what can you do”.

“Oh come one girls it will be fun!” Audrey urged as the driver packed our bags into the trunk.
