"Chloe, tighten that spin. Bradley, hold her closer. And Romey, at least try to look like you love him."

Madame Moreau commanded as she waltzed around us and criticised our every move.

"Romey! This is a love scene, show some compassion." Madame Moreau barked as she spun around Bradley and me.

I know this dance better than anything, I could do it blindfolded in the dark. The only problem is Bradley, my ex-boyfriend, who is now dating my ex-best friend, Chloe. Perfect, right? Chloe and I used to be best friends but in year ten everything went downhill. I had been dating Bradley for about three months. Chloe had always been a tad jealous. The giant house with butlers and maids. The perfect mum and to top it all off the nicest boyfriend. So, I knew that when she started to become friends with Bradley something was up. I trusted Bradley, but Chloe and I had started to separate and I wasn't sure if she really wanted to be just friends with him.

"All right. Obliviously we all need a little break to clear our heads. Five minutes." Madame Moreau floated into the office.

"Romey, what's wrong?" Bradley leant against the lockers as I reached for my water.

"Bradley?" Chloe squealed from her locker, on the other side of the room.

"Okay, that's enough chit-chatting for the moment. Get back in the studio." Madame Moreau led us back into the studio.

"Watch it, clutz." Chloe tripped over my untied dance shoe.

"Let's take it from the top. Romey, Bradley, take it away." Madame Moreau set her bottle near the barre and circled around Bradley and I. Chloe fluttered her hands above her skirt and tapped her toes back and forth. Bradley pulled me closer and I leant back as the music started. I spun out of his arms, pointed my toe and we began to dance.

The music started to slow down and Bradley and I slipped into our ending position as Chloe strutted off the stage. Madame Moreau twisted around to see our last pose as the music ended.

"Not horrible." She remarked and walked off with her clipboard in hand.
